Palin – Wow

without comments

I must admit I am surprised. I know little about her except for that true conservatives like her. I also know that she has ties to big oil, but not necessarily the bad kind. I know she has made environmental moves as well. I also know that if anything happens to 72 year old John McCain she takes the reigns.

Now we all know that the VP doesn’t decide the election, but this certainly can’t hurt McCain. Especially if he chose Palin to try and get the female democratic vote.

I guess this race just got a lot more interesting. We’ll see what happens when we start learning more about Sarah Palin.

McCain is going to announce Governor Pawlenty of Minnesota as his running mate

without comments

There going to push Pawlenty because of his economic past, he was able to balance the Minnesota budget. He reduced an almost 5 billion dollar deficit without raising taxes. How did he do it you ask, he cut funding to things like welfare and other social programs. He also cut funding to transportation. Well, these cuts balanced the budget alright and he didn’t have to raise taxes.

Hold on though, do transportation funding cover the repair of bridges?

Also, he got profit sharing on Indian casinos though gambling is illegal in Minnesota unless you’re a tribe. He also raised fees, not taxes almost $500 a person. So regardless of how much money you made, a million or $12k, you got hit for an extra $500. He also raised tuition at state colleges. So only if you were going to a state school did you get screwed on that one.

I decided tonight I’m voting Democrat this year

without comments

I kinda have been leaning that way because John McCain has been pissing me off so much with his ads. Obama gave a good speech, but that isn’t why I’m voting for him. I’m voting for him because of the pretentious Republicans on Larry King Sleep. I guess I just hate republicans more than I hate democrats. Probably after next week’s RNC I may change my mind because Larry King will have a bunch of pretentious dems on his show. Right now I’m watching some deuche arguing that the attack on the WTC was the fault of democrats. You’re right asshole, if we’d have attacked Iraq the Taliban in Afghanistan and from Saudi wouldn’t have crashed planes into buildings because their flights out of those countries probably had connecting flights through Baghdad.

Here is what the assholes haven’t thought about. The military is fed up with going to Iraq. It’s true, I was in the Marine Corps, I went to Iraq, I know. We’re getting out at an extremely high rate. Retention sucks, and McCain knows this, that’s why he voted against increasing the GI Bill benefits. He believes that if people can serve in the military and then get out and can pay for college, they’ll get out. So he figures if you make them not afford college, then they’ll stay in the military. Well, we’re not, we’re still getting out. The ones that are still in hate going to Iraq. Because they’re in the military they don’t speak out about their political views, but I think we’ll be surprised in November. The one thing McCain has going for him is that military people are usually too lazy to get an absentee ballot.

Todd Harris, the former dumb ass press secretary is criticizing Obama because he had to defend himself against McCain’s attack ads. Yeah, I’m sure McCain isn’t going to spend an hour talking about how he isn’t George Bush. Ben Stein, you were cool in Ferris Bueller, but let’s face it, you’re kind of a jack ass now. And then there is Larry Elder, the deuche that said the democrats were at fault for 9/11 is also blaming the poor economy on Bill Clinton. And now they’re calling him a celebrity again.

Here is the deal. Maybe the democrats caused whatever, maybe the republicans did, and maybe it was no one’s fault. It doesn’t matter who caused what, what matters is the republicans had the white house when it happened. There isn’t anything they can say that is going to change that. They can try to spin it however they want, but come November, people are going to go in to vote knowing that the past year (we only have short term memories in America) gas has sky rocketed, the economy has slumped, and everyone hates the war.

National Politics are like High School Politics

without comments

Yep, there really isn’t anything different. Both sides promise that there will be a pop machine in every classroom. The democrats are the average kids that want to be friends with everyone and the republicans are all the asshole jocks that bullied the other kids. If you don’t believe me just watch CNN, every republican strategist or commentor is an asshole that acts like they’re better than everyone else. The way they scoff at everyone and make fun of people. I hate them all. They’re ultra elitist. Everytime I see one on TV I want to punch them in the face because they’re acting like deuche bags. These are the guys that are supposed to be “better” Christians, what ever that means.

Then we have the democrats that are like a bunch of emo kids that fight against each other. I’m watching some girl on tv right now that loves clinton but won’t vote for obama. She’s probably a man hater and doesn’t care about the issues. Clinton and Obama have such similar views but she would rather see McCain in office than vote for Obama. Elizabeth Joyce of Just Say No Deal – you’re a dueche. I hope your kids go to Iraq. She wants Clinton, she says she’s a staunch democrat but she won’t vote for Obama. This is why democrats are always going to lose, because they like to cry. They want to be cuddled.

So, I’m calling it – McCain is going to win because democrats can’t get their shit together. I hope all the democratic emo kids are happy cutting themselves because “nobody gets me”. 2 options – stand up for the ideals you believe in not the person you’re in love with OR cry like a baby, pout, and let the other side win.

Gay Marriage – who effing cares?

without comments

Seriously, who cares? If two guys or two girls decide to get hitched I don’t care, it doesn’t effect my marriage to my wife at all, not a bit. People that talk about marriage is sacred, it’s a bond between a man and a woman, blah blah blah. Over half of this country’s marriages end in divorce – over half! How the hell is marriage sacred if over half of them end in divorce?

I’m serious, someone tell me how marriage is sacred if over half are failed, or how gay people getting married somehow tarnishes my marriage.

John McCain, if marriage is so sacred and is defined as between a man and a woman, does it matter how many? You leaving your wife, man, that’s awesome. Way to cherish marriage, it seems so holy when you do it. John Edwards, you’re pretty awesome too, I remember you campaigning that marriage is between a man and woman as well. It doesn’t matter if you cheat on that woman while she’s fighting cancer – no, hell no, as long as it’s a woman you’re cheating on it’s biblical.

Yeah, the bible says gay is bad. In the same part of the bible it says that cutting your hair is bad, planting 2 types of crops in the same field is bad, harvesting crops from that field before a couple of years is bad, but – it is a-okay to sell a daughter into slavery.

Just because you aren’t gay, and you don’t really like the thought of two same-sex people together, doesn’t make you any better than those people. If my favorite color is blue, and yours is green, I’m not going to say you’re going to hell and you’re a second class citizen because your favorite color sucks. I’m not going to think you’re second class because you listen to knee-slapping hill-billy music and you’re probably missing teeth. Stop thinking you’re so effing righteous.

Obama and Biden – as if there was a better choice

without comments

I wasn’t too shocked when I went to CNN this morning and saw that Biden was named the running mate of Obama. Was there honestly a better choice? Maybe he could have picked Harry Potter or Batman, or someone like that. That could probably ensure that the youth vote would go for Obama. McCain wasted no time in launching his attack ad, using Biden’s words against Obama. Wow, that was genius (yawn). The McCain camp also wasted no time in commenting on the slips made during the announcement when Obama called Biden “the next president of the United States”. This coming from McCain, the king of slip-ups. It was McCain that called for exploiting the oil fields of the far north.

Now, the question is who McCain is going to pick to be his hack? Romney? Romney could have at least did decent things for our economy, but he made some pretty harsh comments about McCain and his retardiness in regards to said economy. Since McCain is attacking Obama using Biden’s words, what would that mean if Romney was chosen.

I think the attack ads should stop, and if they won’t talk about issues – what they will do, not what the other won’t do – then I think it should be settled through a fight to the death. An old crusty guy that has permanent injuries from torture – but does have a military background and a temper that will cause him to fire nukes off at a country for looking at him wrong VS. a younger, more athletic opponent who prefers diplomacy to spending billions on war.

Could be a pretty awesome fight. I picture McCain turning into the Emperor from Star Wars and shooting bolts of lightening out of his withered fingertips.

Only in America…

without comments

Only in America would we the people be so lazy and complacent to allow a government like ours to exist. We’re at a war that the majority of this country, and the majority of the world, including Iraq, don’t want us in. Politicians regularly work in personal projects into bills in order to get money for their supporters, you would think a bill giving money to schools, or providing better care for disabled veterans wouldn’t need incentives for senators to pass them. A politician can make fun of the other one, mock him even, and still have the balls to call that other one an elitist. The same politician that calls the other one an elitist has a net worth of $40 million dollars compared to the “elitist’s” $9 million dollars.

Only in America would we let our government continually take our rights away, and infringe on our liberty without saying anything.

We let our government, our elected officials, to do whatever they want. When one of them used to represent the white house is subpoenaed he simply doesn’t show up. No one arrests him, no one makes him follow the constitution. This country makes me sick. We have traded in our values, our belief in our citizens, the freedom of our people so rich people can play with power.

One time we paid taxes to a government that didn’t represent the people, and we revolted, and the American Revolution occurred. We still pay taxes, but do you think your government represents you?

The Witty John McCain and Air Pressure Gauges

with one comment

Handing out tire pressure gauges labeled as Obama’s energy bill is pretty witty. Its much smarter than coming up with a solution of your own.

Did you know though, that the average American would get almost 1900 more miles a year on the same amount of gas if they properly inflated their tires. Its funny because after Katrina everyone was saying that properly inflated tires was important, now only one guys does. There are around 300 million people in the United States, let’s say that just half of them are drivers, that’s 150 million people multiplied by 1900 miles, equals 285 Billion extra miles a year because of properly inflated tires. If the average car gets 20mpg, then that would mean we’d save around 14.25 billion gallons of gas a year, which is about 712.5 million barrels of gas. As a nation we use around 20 million barrels of oil per day, so that savings would last around 35 days.

So if everyone properly inflated their tires, we wouldn’t have to produce or import a single drop of oil for little over a month.

If we don’t import but drill and refine our own oil only for those 35 days we’d have enough for another 14 days. That means that for 49 days out of the year, we wouldn’t need foreign oil at all. Laugh if you will John McCain, but that is a reduction of more than 10% of our dependence on foreign oil.

Air pressure gauges aren’t the answer, but if everyone used one it would definitely be a start.

You stupid old bastard

without comments

I was watching CNN this morning like I always do and I was watching an interview with John “The Liar” McCain. He was talking about how he isn’t running negative ads, he’s simply running ads that highlight the differences between him and Obama. Head over to McCain’s website and watch his new ads, then tell me if they highlight differences or if they’re negative. I went to the Obama site because though I can’t recall negative ads by his camp, I’m sure they exist. Unfortunately I didn’t see his commercials on his site.

I think the biggest difference is that the negative ads being ran by liberals are being ran by third parties, like moveon.org while the Obama camp are running ads about Obama while McCain is running negative ads as well as the third party republican groups.

I love how politicians become children. They cry when people say things, they call others names, and they pout when they lose. Just once I’d like the opportunity to vote for an adult.

Off-shore oil flipping

without comments

Obama is releasing his energy plan today which involves off-shore oil drilling. A lot of people are going to come out and accuse him of flip-flopping, which I think is retarded if you view my post on flip-flopping you’ll see why. Hopefully the McCain camp will pull its head out of its ass and realize that they’ve already changed positions on this issue as well. Obama claims that opening up more off-shore drilling is his attempt to a bi-partisan energy bill.

Whatever.

I don’t think we’ve seen an energy plan from McCain at all, he just says lets drill off our coasts. I haven’t seen the Obama plan. What I do know, is that a president has 4 to 8 years to change America. Hopefully one of these guys will address how to significantly reduce our dependance on oil, not just foreign oil, over that time.
